Q. What does Gauge of Stainless Steel mean.
A. We fabricate in 2 gauges of S.S. tops 14 or 16. 14 is the heavier and
used in commercial applications
Q. What is the difference between 300 and 400 Stainless Steel.
A. 300 series is the better of the 2 with a higher amount of Nickel in the
steel. 400 is less in cost but may show small surface rust specks in
certain applications.
Q. How can I tell if the S.S. is 300 or 400 they look the same.
A. A magnet will not stick to 300
Q. Is there any benefit to having an under shelf other then storage.
A. The under shelf also provides more stability.
Q. How do I know if I need a back splash or endsplash.
A. If you are installing in a Health dept. inspected kitchen you will need
a splash anywhere the table comes in contact with a wall where the
table is permanently set. Casters can override this regulation.
Q. Is there a way to lower the cost of a S.S. table and still meet N.S.F.
standards.
A. Galvanized legs and under shelf can be substituted for S.S. at a
lower cost but is not recommended. Galvanized Steel will oxidize
making them hard to clean.
Q. Do the casters have brakes
A. All casters come with 2 locking and 2 swivel.
Q. How many drawers can I put on a 48" table.
A. A 48" table can fit one drawer or a set of 3 tiered stacked on an
undershelf.
Q. Can I adjust the height of a Table.
A. You can order special size legs or cut down existing legs by removing
leg cutting to size and replace cut side back into gusset. You will
need a reciprocal saw with a bimetal blade.
Q. Can you make a special table custom to my needs.
A. To price we will need a rough drawing showing the item. Before we
manufacture we will supply you with a shop drawing to approve. If
you can draw it we can most likely fabricate it.
Q. How long will my item take to fabricate.
A. Normal lead time is 3-5 weeks plus shipping time.
Q. If custom is not returnable how can I be sure the item is fabricated
to my specifications.
A. Before we put a piece into production you will receive a shop
drawing showing for approval showing dimensions and locations of
any options requested.
Q. What does N.S.F. approved mean.
A. N.S.F. is a standard used by Health Departments around the country
you will see a blue sticker on all of our items that will tell your
health department that the item was fabricated in an N.S.F. shop.
Or has been submitted and approved by the National Sanitation
Foundation.
